  1. The so called "aeras" has sky-rocketed the prices of shops and land in the area. Given of its high commercial value, the shops rarely stay unleashed for long and that makes owners asking for higher prices. Needless to say, that overhead cost is added on to the prices of the products and the item that can be bought in any peripheral store for x price it is sold X+X in Ermou. It is all a vicious circle that prices are paid at higher value just because the item was bought in Ermou.
  2. LOL

but our living level and our salaries are in the top 10 from...the end I think !

    :D

    yeah its strange, isnt it!
  3. yes, this is true, and according to what we see today Greece became a country very expensive, in some things more expensive than abroad..

The delusion is one..everything is raised up except of salaries
  4. Greece is very expensive!

That's why I opened a shop with inexpensive children's clothes from high street shops in UK. The Chinese have also seen a gap in the market so they have taken up the 'cheap clothes' section. Ermou is a guaranteed money maker - but doubtful it's the most expensive in the World - in Greece yes ... Any central shopping street is expensive including small towns. I pay 300euro rent as I am away from the town centre (Preveza) but for the same size shop down in the Agora you'd pay 1,500 rent a month! (I know I checked) If I were to pay for the business as well (buy the business off someone in the Agora) I'd pay 3 times that for 'air' .... the name/connections and customers etc plus the rent!
