Can anybody suggest some hotels in Athens?

Looking for good value for the money, breakfast, and not too close to "red-light" districts.
I'm generally alright with staying in a 3* hotel particularly because I don't spend all my time at the hotel.
Thanks a lot to those who have left answers - you've helped a lot so far!



With your imput i've come to the conclusion that Plaka would be a great place to stay. I am looking for a hotel with a safety depost box. Do you know of any?

   As far as it concerns cheaper hotels l suggest Central Athens hotel which is in the centre of Athens, with great view to Acropolis and Plaka,it's very decent and convenient. Every time l go to Athens for business l stay there and l am very satisfied.

5. I would try the attolos. it is clean the staff is very helpful and not very expensive. i have stayed there several times, its also a very easy walk to the plaka..and you can get breakfast
   
   if you want.
6. there are no good hotels in athens
