What is the drinking age in Athens, Greece and the Greek islands?
I am visiting Athens, Greece, and some of the Greek Islands in a few days. I know you cannot drink on the cruise ship, but when i am in athens and on the islands, does anyone know what the drinking age is. By the way, I turn 16 in two months.

- Many places will not even ID at all. From what I remember the legal age is 17, or at least that is the age to purchase alcohol.
- the law says 17 but nobody will ask you your age.don't worry!
- From the time you can hold the bottle with one hand.
- The legal age to consume alcohlic drinks is 17. Unfortunately, there are some pubs/night clubs/cefeterias that do not care and serve alcohol to kids under the age of 17. However, you can drink alcoholic drinks like Gordons or Breezers that contain very little alcohol and that are very popular here in Greece at teens' parties.
- You have to at least seventeen to PURCHASE alcohol.
But you don't need to be clubbing or drinking at barely being sixteen.
- Legally it's 17 but usually nobody cares how old you are. Don't get drunk!
- wherever your cruise ship docks, the bars nearby might ask for id.
- Apart from the age (you have to be 17), be careful because the drinks served in many cheap bars are not O.K. They will serve you the worst quality, sometimes in the bottle of a well known brand.
- The drinking age may be less than 17 and I seriously doubt anyone will ID you in Greece especially in the summer
- Yes!!17!You 'd better have your ID with you because almost in every club (at least in Athens) they ask for it!
I'm 19 but I look younger(16) so every time in order to let me in a club they ask for my ID!!!
